Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.
Illustrator Work
Explore creative photo editing techniques to convey deeper meanings and perspectives in fashion imagery. The goal was to reimagine a fashion icon’s image (Winnie Harlow) using artistic edits that evoke emotion, challenge perceptions, and demonstrate technical skill.
My Approach:
1. Half Skull Edit: I used this to symbolize duality—the contrast between beauty and mortality, showing how fashion and art can bridge the gap between surface-level aesthetics and deeper existential themes.
2. Heat Temp Edit: This represents energy and individuality, capturing how a person’s inner fire and personality can be visualized in unexpected ways.
3. Terrain Overlay Edit: This symbolizes connection to the earth and the natural world, blending human beauty with the environment to represent harmony and resilience.
Each edit was created using tools like Photoshop, layering, and masking techniques to manipulate texture, color, and depth.
The Outcome:
These edits showcased my ability to push the boundaries of traditional fashion photography by infusing conceptual art into visual storytelling. They received positive feedback for their originality and ability to provoke thought and conversation about identity, beauty, and nature.
