Lumen
As part of the Line Development Studio course at VCU, my team was tasked with creating an eight-look capsule collection inspired by advanced contemporary fashion. The project required incorporating at least 70% cotton textiles while addressing sustainability, market trends, and storytelling. The final deliverable included a comprehensive presentation to industry professionals, showcasing our designs, technical packages, marketing strategies, and cost analysis.

Teamwork makes the dream work
After months of hard work and creativity, my team and I were overjoyed to learn that Lumen, the only men’s wear line in the competition, had won the Line Development Studio challenge. From brainstorming concepts to refining every design and marketing detail, we put our hearts into bringing this collection to life. The process pushed us to think outside the box and taught us the power of collaboration and perseverance. Celebrating that moment together was unforgettable—it felt amazing to see our vision recognized by industry professionals.
